The work "Weak Synaesthesia" explores the translation of electronic sounds and music into graphic and three-dimensional forms. The focus is on the visual representation of a "sound image" that precisely depicts shapes, movement patterns, and sound qualities. These graphic notations are realized as reliefs on a construction made of transparent polycarbonate plates, creating a spatial and tactile experience. The linear reading conventionally applied to notations is broken: patterns, chains, and loops form, connecting, overlapping, becoming spatial, and ultimately merging, evoking a unique sense of temporality for the viewer. The score was inspired by the track "Seed Net" by Windowseeker. This resulted in a transparent,
sculptural-installative
work on transparent polycarbonate plates , along with
two reliefs made of black polystyrene, each measuring 50x40 cm.
The process of creating the graphic notation can be seen in the research book.
