Soft Null

Soft Null is built from transparent PVC strip curtains, a material used as industrial barriers in cold-storage facilities. Cut, layered, and tensioned, the strips form a translucent membrane held together by cables, threaded elements, screws, and skeletal supports. The work is laid out like a body in suspension. Tendon-like lines run across and through the surface, marked by strings of beads that trace sequences resembling neural networks or systems of association. Industrial materials and biological associations coexist without hierarchy: cables evoke nerves and vessels, while screws and structural supports suggest technical infrastructure. The sculpture presents itself as a physical network of dependencies condensed into a single body-like form.
