A black shell stretches across a metal framework, somewhere between shed skin and clinical prosthesis. Its irregular constrictions resemble traces of contractions, as though something had pressed from within, yielded, and withdrawn again. Under heat, the shrink tubing contracts tightly around the structure, forming the negative imprint of a body that is no longer there. What remains is a split-open, hollow exuvia. Without a clear beginning or end, the sculpture appears as an isolated fragment of a body that resists any definitive classification.
